9th Annual Dorridge Fun Run 16th June 2013
What a great day! We hope you enjoyed the Fun Run and Summer Fair.
The 9th staging of the event saw another record number of entrants who we expect will have helped to raise in excess of £30,000 for charity once all sponsorship monies are received. The six benefitting charities and voluntary services namely Solihull Life Opportunities (SoLO), Challenge Adventure Group (CAG), Darwin Explorer Scouts, The Lily Mae Foundation, Help Harry Help Others and Motor Neurone Disease Association all took an active and often colourful part in the event and we feel privileged to be able to support such wonderful organisations and the work they do.
A big and heartfelt thank you goes to all who took part, to the small army of road marshals and army cadets who helped make the event safe, to all who helped run stalls, games and refreshments at the Summer Fair, to the Ardennaires who provided the live music, to all our sponsors and in particular our main sponsor John Shepherd estate agents.
The winning man over the 8.2 mile course was Jez Bragg in a time of 48 minutes 40 seconds, and the winning woman was Kat Acton in a time of 54 minutes and 31 seconds. For a list of finishers and times for those completing the 8.2 mile course within 60 minutes please click here.
The fastest junior over the 3 mile course was Joshua Mort in a time of 22 minutes and 7 seconds.
The date for next year's Fun Run and Summer Fair has been set for 15th June. We look forward to seeing you there.
Best regards, The Dorridge Fun Run Committee
